Hotel was just off the interstate. Good location and quite. The hotel is being updated cosmetically but you soon notice the age once you are in your room. They have updated towels and tried to spruce up the look of the rooms. When we first entered the room it smelled like a cottage which had been closed for the winter and the carpet had that old cottage look. The grounds are nicely kept and the pool area was inviting. They offered a decent complimentary continental breakfast. I thought the price was a little high given the location and age of hotel. All in all not a bad rest stop for the night.

Compared to other motels in the area, this one was not expensive . the rooms were large and clean. Other than the outdoor swimming pool it was a bare bones motel OK if you are just passing through. It is about 4 mi from the glass museum, which is well worth a few hours of your time. We would stay again.

Wonderful staff from Marci on front desk to cleaning gal. Large clean room w 2 queen beds, MW and frig. Room cleaned and sheets changed every day. Comp breakfast with sara lee danish, toast bagels muffins and oatmeal w butter/jam and coffee w milk/cream. Staff provided extra coffee to the room at no charge. Offers a lot for such a low price. DEAD BOLT on door was broken and inoperative. Security is probably not a problem in Painted Post, NY, but... Of course, the place is a older hotel, but it is clean and nice. Pet allowed.

I stayed here when I was in the area for a horse show last weekend. My room was spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom was also very big. There were a few small areas along the baseboards where the paint was a little chipped, but that was no big deal. The motel is nothing fancy, but it's a pleasant place to stay if cleanliness and affordability are your main concerns. Staying alone in the hotel room, I was a little apprehensive, but my room was very quiet and I felt perfectly safe. I arrived back at my room very late both nights, but the entrance was brightly lit with parking available just steps from the door. There was also a free continental breakfast in the lobby each day, which began early enough for us to enjoy before leaving for the horse show at 6:30 a.m. There were bagels and orange juice. I also saw various danishes and muffins, toast, cereal and hard-boiled eggs, as well as coffee, of course. The room contained a coffee maker, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. There was an outdoor pool in the courtyard. I didn't get a chance to swim, but it looked nice. The front desk was very accommodating as well. We needed to take my sister's horse to the fairgrounds and settle her in before we checked in and we knew we would be very late getting to the motel. My sister called and they said they would hold the rooms as long as we needed them. We arrived at 10:30p.m. and were quickly and easily checked in. In addition, when I checked in, they gave me a lower rate than they quoted on the phone! Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The room was kept very clean. Even though the hotel is on a major roadway, it has a quiet, country air about it. The front desk staff was more than friendly and helpful. We were treated as if we were part of their family. I've already recommended this hotel to friends planning trips to Corning. We'd definately stay again.
